About the Challenge

 

The purpose of this challenge is to help you jump start healthy habits and continue them with confidence. No matter where you are in your health journey or what health issues you may be dealing with, any journey to total wellness starts with a solid foundation of healthy lifestyle habits that are realistic and can be carried out consistently over time.

 

Our focus this year will be to incorporate balanced meals, enjoyable movement, quality sleep, and manageable stress in a way that is sustainable. We will ask that you aim to follow the balanced nutrition guidelines that we have set for you and also set your own personal goals, too. You will write down your goals and keep track of your progress in a goal tracker provided in the challenge.

 

We will also have modules from our team of dietitians on improving digestion, balancing hormones, achieving better blood sugar control, and boosting energy.

Principle 1: Nutrition

Learn about the foundation of a healthy, balanced lifestyle starting with how to build your plate. 

 

We will discuss meal planning and how to build balanced, practical meals. 

 

We will offer virtual grocery store tours and pantry videos to help you stock your kitchen with the right ingredients.

 

You will receive weekly meal plans with recipes.

 

 

Principle 2: Movement

 

Determine how to fit in movement throughout your day that you enjoy and look forward to. 

 

Learn about different forms of movement and which one works for you.

 

Set goals for ways to get in movement each day. Hold yourself accountable.

 

Principle 3: Sleep Hygiene

Learn about the importance of sleep and its role in a healthy lifestyle. 

 

Do you have trouble sleeping? Get help figuring out what might be causing the issue and how to improve your sleep. 

 

Principle 4: Stress Management

 

Learn about strategies for reducing your stress levels. 

 

Take actionable steps towards managing chronic stress.

Live Q&A

Get a chance to meet with one of our dietitians in a group setting each week to ask your hot questions!

 

Weekly Meal Plans

You will have access to meal plans created just for you! Each meal plan will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas for everyday, including recipes. 

 

Virtual Grocery Store Tour

Watch as one of our dietitians walks your through how to shop at the grocery store, how to read food labels, and good products to start incorporating into your weekly grocery trip. 

 

Access to the Members Only Facebook Group

Connect with other members in the challenge to share advice, tips, recipes. Also, one of our dietitians will be checking in regularly to answer your questions and respond to comments. 

 

Goal Setting

Stay accountable by setting weekly goals and taking steps towards improving your health. 

 

InBody Body Composition Testing

Interested in seeing if your body composition (body fat, muscle mass) changes throughout the challenge? A pre and post analysis on our Inbody scale is included (if local to our Yellow Springs office).
